September is here, signaling the start of Hunger Action Month. It’s a powerful reminder of the struggles faced by millions of people grappling with food insecurity, but it’s also a testament to the resilience and strength of communities, like ours at Elara Brands, that stand up to make a difference.
Our journey at Elara began over a decade ago with a simple idea: To help fight hunger in America, we will donate a meal for every case of our products you buy.
This mission fuels everything we do. We understand that to grow the impact of our One Case • One Meal program, Elara must provide our customers with best-in-class products, service, expertise, and support. We have to earn your business – and your trust – day-in and day-out.
To say that we are humbled by the response of our mission-driven business model is an understatement. With your incredible support and our partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization, Elara is about to reach a remarkable milestone: 7 million donated meals.
There’s something special about the number seven. It represents a sense of completeness, balance, and universality in various cultural, historical, and natural contexts. For Elara, it’s a reminder of our collective impact. It underscores that, customer by customer, case by case, meal by meal, we’re making an impact in the fight against hunger in America.
This isn’t just an Elara story. It’s a story about all of us – from our customers, local food banks, to other supportive businesses, generous donors, and hands-on volunteers.
It’s about a community coming together with a shared vision: to help others and make tomorrow a bit brighter for our neighbors in need, and to create pathways to nourishment, amplify voices for the vulnerable, foster unity, confront systemic challenges, and empower individuals to achieve self-sufficiency.
As Hunger Action Month gets underway, I want to send a heartfelt thank you your way on behalf of the entire Elara family for joining our mission.
Together, we are making a difference.
With Gratitude,
Dan Grinberg, Founder & President
